I am dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and adults to work through pain to find hope.

Play therapy utilizes the therapeutic powers of play to help clients prevent or resolve emotional/psychological difficulties and achieve optimal growth and development. Kids may not have the language to express the emotions that are trapped inside, so there are creative modalities including art, sandtray therapy , therapeutic games, and music that can be the conduit of the healing process.

If your child or adolescent has experienced or witnessed a traumatic event, is being bullied, is struggling with their self esteem, is a child of a divorce, has experienced a death or loss of a loved one, or is experiencing other emotional difficulties, individual counseling may be an important option.

“Working through grief and adapting to loss is important for children. Studies have shown that children and adolescents that have unresolved grief are at a higher risk for developing depression and anxiety as adults.”   Source: Owens D. Recognizing the Needs of Bereaved Children in Palliative Care. Journal of Hospice & Palliative Nursing. 2008; 10:1.

is old enough to love”
